I faced a problem while I modeled my Lake and I decided to check it with ROUNDLAKE example as well.

I enabled "idensity" and "isalinity" in run_aem3d.dat file and also add <globalVariable>DENSITY</globalVariable> line to datablock.xml file in ROUNDLAKE model to see how the results look like. icaedym was aslo disabled too because I need density to be simulated which is based on UNESCO formula and caedym is not needed in that case. I changed total number of steps to 1500 to have a quick run&check process.

I was the values was all negative, in kg/m3 range from -1.15 to -2.25

does anybody know why the values are negative? based on UNESCO Formula I think Rho_0 was forgotten in the equation (That is just my thought ! )

Thanks,

The density output in AEM3D is Sigma (ie rho-1000).  It's stored like this as it reduces numerical errors.
