In CE-QUAL-W2 there's a coefficient of bottom heat exchange along with a constant temperature of the bedrock / groundwater.

Having trouble in AEM3D in getting the water temperature deep in the hypolimnion to mimic measured values in a deep 200m+, V-shaped, mountain valley reservoir.  Everything's fine between the surface and the thermocline.

In W2, I could tweak the bottom heat exchange coefficient and bottom temperature to better calibrate water temperature down deep.

Is there a means of doing something similar in AEM3D?

Hi, this is not currently possible but is something we could potentially look at adding in.
