Hi,

I am  trying to move from ELCOM-CAEDYM to AEM3D for the example of "Lshapedreservoir". I followed all required steps mentioned in the user manual.

However, I should take some extra steps  which I am not sure about them.

for example, it was mentioned in the user manual that:

"To use the new water quality model set the fa aq iwaterquality to 1 and set the value of run_wq_ file in your run aem3d.dat file "

I  am wondering where in ELCOM-CAEDYM the run_wq files was configured?

which folder in the old examples of ELCOM-CAEDYM include the files which should be configured in run_wq.dat?

Regard,

AEM3D allows you to run either the old CAEDYM water quality model that was part of ELCOM-CAEDYM or the new water quality model.

While the science of the two models is very similar the new flexible configuration means  that there is not a one to one correspondence in the parameter sets.

If you want to use the new water quality model I recommend using the files included in the Round Lake example in the download as a starting point.
