Hi all,

I am using AEM3D with multithreaded parallel capabilities (nthreads=8). I typically run 2-6 simulations at a time. I've noticed when I start some new simulations, the old ones sometimes pause but not always, and I can't figure out a pattern or anything. This can be remedied by hitting enter but I'm not always clear when or for which simulations it will occur. Has anyone else noticed this who can provide any insight?

Hi Deena, there's not anything in the code that should be causing pauses.  Is the model still consuming CPU when this happens?

I can't tell if each CMD window is using CPU, but the drive was to be close to being full (memory-wise). I believe I have remedied this by cleaning up my hard drive and distributing the runs across the three drives on my machine.  It seems 2 runs/drive is optimal with nthreads=8.
