Hello, In my lake model, evaporation makes for more than 65% of the total outflow, so i was wondering if i could input this outflow rate.
I have tried to increase evaporative by increasing the surf_heat_transf_coeff, but it barely does any changes to my water level.

Hi,

In the latest dev version, you can use the ievap_vol_bc flag in run_aem3d to say that you want to specify rather than calculate the evaporation rate.

If ievap_vol is 1 then the units are m/s if it's 2 the units are m3/s

The keyword for the temporal boundary condition file is EVAP_VOL_FLUX.

Dear Chris, thank you so much for your answer.
So, if I understood correctly, "ievap_vol_bc" should be in the !  Simulation module controls  ! part of the run_aem3d model, with the other flags like itemperature, irain and others. Is this right?
As I am getting the next warning, I assume it is because I don't have the latest dev version.
* WARNING * unknown key ievap_vol_bc in run_aem3d.dat

Thank you for you kind support,

The order of lines in run_aem3d is unimportant, so you can put it anywhere, but the SImulation Module section makes sense.

You will need the latest dev version.
