Silica for Diatoms

Question

Hi Chris,

To enable Silica limitation for Diatoms is it enough to just add:

0.15  Si_growth_half_saturation

0.01  Si_growth_uptake_min_conc

or I also need the Constant Silica Concentration? ( and what is the command to add this?)

Anything else to add to the file? (Like Si_C_Ratio?)

You need

3.0  Si_Carbon_Ratio

Have a look at the fdiat.dat phtoplankton file in the Round Lake example.  This has Silica.
