Hi Chris,

I believe I am working with the newest version of the manual and software. I am trying to use boundary forcing since I have nutrient measurements at the confluences, but I get the following error:  * WARNING * unknown key iforcebcscalars in run_aem3d.dat

Thank you very much for your help!

HI Deena,

iforcescalars is no longer an option and effectively in now always on.

Thanks Chris! I am seeing a large amount of smearing/numerical diffusion at an influent boundary, and was able to confirm this behavior with a conservative tracer, where only about 60% of the influent concentration of the tracer ends up in the first wetted cell. Do you have any suggestions for how to correct this? I'm having a hard time calibrating nutrients near this boundary.

The only reason the inflow cell won't fill with tracer to the inflow level is if the ambient flow is bringing in water to cell at one of the other faces.

Thank you, that helps a lot. I have the bc set as flow_ym but I am guessing that this is likely due to wind-driven mixing over the lake. Are there any other potential causes you have observed or that I should be aware of?
