Hi Chris.

In the RoundLake model, in the end of simulation after (14) days, are calculated:

a)       Very low concentrations for the DO  (4.58 mg/l)

b)      Very high concentrations for the total N (283 mg/l) and

c)       Quite high concentrations for the total P (26 mg/l)

For the low concentrations to DO, I reduced the nitrification_coefficient to 0.01 from 0.05 in the file (wq_files>Nitrogen.dat) and the results was normal (DO: 8.13 mg/l), due to the lower consumption O2 during the nitrification process (ΝΗ4==>ΝΟ3). Now, could you suggest me which parameters must be modified to success normal concentrations in  Total N and Total P???

Regards

Evangelos

Hi Evangelos,

The examples are not really set up as realistic configurations but are meant to serve as file format examples.

The values of most parameters will be heavily dependent on the specific site of interest.
