Hi Chris

I noticed in the user manual, some numbers of Phyto Groups are different from those in the WQ files, (for example Cyano) . Could you tell me please, which are the correct numbers that we must use in simulation ??

Regards

Evangelos

Hi Evangelos,

In CAEDYM the group order was

1-DINOF
2-CYANO
3-NODUL
4-CHLOR
5-CRYPT
6-MDIAT
7-FDIAT

But the new WQ model only uses the group number for generating a default keyword (eg PHYTO3).

The new model does not have any built-in differentiation between groups. So if you want to simulate a diatom group you need to configure the group to have Silica (by setting a Si_Carbon_Ratio).

To differentiate between marine and freshwater diatoms you the salinity functions for growth and loss.
