Hi,

What does AEM3D do when varying vegetation height and drag are configured in the area of the domain occupied by flooded forest? Does the vegetation above water surface act like shelters that reduce the wind speed and incoming shortwave radiation? Is the concept of vegetation drag the same as or similar to that proposed in Ishikawa et al. (2000, Equation 1) and Sanjou et al. (2018, Equation 1)?

Ishikawa, Y., Mizuhara, K. and Ashida, S. (2000). Effect of density of trees on drag exerted on trees in river channels. J. For. Res. (5): 271-279.

Sanjou, M., Okamoto, T. and Nezu, T. (2018). Experimental study on fluid energy reduction through a flood protection forest. Journal of Flood Risk Management. DOI: 10.1111/jfr3.12339
