Vegetation model

Question

Hello.

Regarding the vegetation model, how is the vegetation modeled in AEM3D?
I looked in the manual and saw that drag and height parameters  (VEGETATION_CD,VEGETATION_H) are required, but I couldn't find any equations.

Hi,

The vegetation adds an additional drag term to the G matrix in the velocity solution (see Casulli and Cheng 1992).

The drag term is just Cd*U*|U| and is added to all cells covered by the height of the vegetation
