As far as I know Silica mineralization was not included in WQ model. I have tried anew wq file "silica_file.dat" including mineralisation_coefficient, but the model does not read it and I guess Si mineralization is still missing in the WQ model.
Any suggestions on how to bring Silica back into the water column and avoid quick zero concentrations?

Hi Behnam,

The latest development code allows for sediment release of Si.  Yoo need to specify a silica_file in your run_wq.dat file.

See the round lake test case for an example.
