In section 7.5.5 Turbulence of user manual, it discusses "unstable mixing algorithms" and "the wind-mixed-layer closure scheme with energy transport2. Could you recommend documentation to study these concepts? Does AEM3D have technical documentation? How can I download it?"

The science manual is included in the latest Dev download zip file.  Chapter 6 details the mixing model.
