Hi,

I am using the New Developer version of AEM3d that handles only DO simulation (from Round Lake) and trying to find the unit for

"DO_water_consumption_coefficient"

Is it applied to the whole water column?

Also, what are these files:

ts_surface_middle.dat

ts_bottom_middle.dat

Cheers
Aidin

Hi Aidin,

The water column DO consumption uses the same configurable functional forms as all other water quality processes. See section 8.3 of the user manual.

The DO_water_consumption_coefficient is the coefficient of this function and will be in mg/L/day.

The default functional form is a power_temperature temperature function and an inverse_michaelis_menten oxygen function.

ts_surface_middle.dat and ts_bottom_middle.dat control the timeseries file location points

Thanks Chris for the response.

Is it possible to include Oxygen in the BC? I tried to give time series of oxygen in the inflows but get the error

* OXYGEN is not a valid bc type

Thanks
