Hi,

in the old caedym .bio files we had specific light attenuation and a couple of parameters for algal toxin dynamics (see below). As I am modeling toxic cyanobacteria, I would need them. What are these parameters called in the new WQ model files (e.g. cyano.dat)?

Thank you, Behnam

! Kmac (g C/m^2/m) : Specific light attenuation coefficients

! Kep (ug chlaL^-1m^-1) : Specific attenuation coefficient

!------------------------------------------------------------------------------!

! Algal toxin and metabolite dynamics                                          !

! IXmin (mg/L (mg Chla/L)^-1) : Internal metabolite conc when growth is zero   !

! IXmax (mg/L (mg Chla/L)^-1) : Internal metabolite conc when growth is Pmax   !

! mX  : Temperature decay constant for metabolites                             !

Hi Behnam,

Sorry, the toxin algorithms haven't made their way into the new WQ model yet.

It's looking like this may be funded by Environment Canada in the next 6-12 months.
